Modern Furniture is a third generation local Kingston business that was started by Benjamin Palmer, my grandfather, in 1936. My father Morris Kaye joined the firm in 1946 working an incredible 55 years. And more than 35 years ago, in 1974, I joined the firm.

Modern furniture has undergone many changes over the years, however to this day it maintains a non-commissioned sales force, featuring a majority of “Canadian Made” product. We are proud to say that most of our sofa sets are Canadian made featuring a lifetime warranty.

All of our bedroom suites are Canadian made with solid wood and no presswood , particle board or veneer. We carry trusted brands including College Woodwork and Bogdon & Gross. In addition to our furniture, we offer a large assortment of bedding. We use top of the line fabrics for our upholstery services, including Ferretti Interiors, Superstyle, Tredline, and Palliser.
